The USA / Saudi Arabia relationship and why the USA goes to war in the Middle East

Great video covering these points and more: How in 1973 the Petrodollar agreement was made with Saudi Arabia and extended to all of OPEC in 1975 How this forced every nation on earth to maintain a supply of dollars How the petrodollar system gives the US its very own “money tree”. How the US depends on petrodollar system to fund its military empire Why the US “takes out” anyone or any nation who challenges this petrodollar standard e.g. Iraq and Libya How a global conflict may result because of the petrodollar system Further reading:  "There were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, in the form of EURO currency."   From article published 2004

Tony Anthony - "Taming the Tiger" - Fact or Fiction?

This book tells the remarkable "true story" of Tony Anthony.  Tony was born to a Chinese mother and Italian father, then taken by his kung fu master Chinese grandfather at age 4 to China to be trained in kung fu, seeing as there were no other male heirs.  His grandfather hated him because he was half-Italian, and constantly beat him.  As crosswire.org.uk says:  "Tony Anthony’s “Taming the Tiger”, distributed in the UK through the Christian publisher Authentic Media, has sold more than 1.5 million copies in 25 countries. On the back of it, Anthony travels the world preaching the gospel in prisons, schools and churches as far away as Asia, South Africa and South America. In the book, Tony Anthony says he was trained in the martial arts and became Kung Fu world champion three times. He then moved to Cyprus, becoming an elite bodyguard to businessmen, gangsters and diplomats before being jailed in Nicosia Central Prison for a series of thefts from hotels. It...

Marriage Equality

Image
If you were or are a gay couple, would/do you really want to be the same as a heterosexual couple?  Aren't you different, and don't you want to be different?  Aren't you proud of being different?  Why then press for marriage, when you can have a civil union and be different?  Do you need to have marriage to be equal with heterosexuals, when you already have the same legal rights through a civil union? Why are gay extremists really pushing for legal same-sex "marriage"?  Is it really so they can live happily ever after with their same-sex soul mate? Of course not.  And here, Russian journalist Masha Gessen explains it all clearly for us: "Fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there — because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change and it should change, and again I don't think it should ex...

The Woes of Internet Dating

Have you tried internet dating yet? I put my photo and some info about myself up there on a dating site to see what would happen.    Well, my inbox was soon full of messages, but almost none of them were worth replying to.  So I thought I would share some of the messages I've received and write some tips for men.    Attention, men:  this is how you should not write to women you want to date! These from non-native speakers of English: "Greetings Hello Gorgeous, I am here for a true relationship, with totally commitment, that will hopefully end in marriage. although i know that every relationship start friends, after going through some profiles i find yours stand out from the rest, many things about you , your hobby, not to talk of your beautiful photos.   please feel free to reply me back." "You are a kind of a person that everyone will celebrate as friend, I want you to plz give room for my friendship,it will makes me feel...

Book Review - The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter

Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite authors and I have been a fan of his books since I was about fifteen.   I love the way he writes – he writes with a delightful humour, his books are light, fun reading and he paints fascinating and intriguing worlds.   The characters are loveable and funny – they utter some wonderful lines and every now and then give me a good old LOL.   So I was looking forward to reading this science fiction venture he co-wrote with Stephen Baxter, but I found it a huge disappointment.   It lacked humour, the characters weren't easy to like and the usual clever way Pratchett plots his stories was missing.   The story is really an ode to evolution – more philosophy than science fiction adventure – and with a strong anti-God and anti-Christianity message.   This was what turned me off the most. I am writing this assuming the reader already is familiar with the book - spoiler alert. This imaginary world of a Long Earth – millio...

A very different future

Does the west have a future? "If you don't have young people, you are a society in decline." Mark Steyn Who's still breeding in the world?  I find statistics fascinating.  These countries will have lots of young people in a couple of decades: Rank Country Children born per woman 1 Niger 7.16 2 Mali 6.35 3 Somalia 6.26 4 Uganda 6.14 9 Afghanistan 5.64 30 Gaza Strip 4.57 33 Yemen 4.45 38 Sudan 4.17 45 Zimbabwe 3.61 46 Iraq 3.58 48 Tonga 3.55 52 Jordan 3.36 59 Pakistan 3.07 66 Egypt 2.94 67 Bolivia 2.93 77 Israel 2.67  A healthy birth rate to sustain a population is about 2.1. The United States are doing ok, with 2.06. These countries, however, a...
